Each year we identify areas within the school that need to be developed, these priorities are set based on the school’s evaluation of its performance during that academic year. We then create a School Development Plan for the academic year.
These are our School Development Priorities
1
Leaders should ensure that all subjects are well sequenced so that pupils build their understanding securely over time.
1
To support their pupils to catch up for lost teaching due to the disruption caused by the Covid pandemic, in line with the guidance on curriculum expectations for the next academic year.
Leaders need to make sure that all teachers use assessment skilfully so that teaching builds on what pupils already know and understand particularly lower attaining pupils.
1
To accelerate progress to recover standards in writing across the school, for all pupil groups, to pre Covid pandemic levels.
To ensure children in all groups have sufficient planned opportunities to write daily and for sustained periods across all areas of the curriculum.
To ensure reading skills are taught very effectively and reading is integral to all learning and pupils transfer their reading skills to their writing
