School Priorities

Development Plan for the academic year

Each year we identify areas within the school that need to be developed, these priorities are set based on the school’s evaluation of its performance during that academic year. We then create a School Development Plan for the academic year.

These are our School Development Priorities for 2020- 2021:

Leaders should ensure that all subjects are well sequenced so that pupils build their understanding securely over time.
Leaders need to make sure that all teachers use assessment skilfully so that teaching builds on what pupils already know and understand particularly lower attaining pupils.
In Reception teachers do not always take account of pupil’s prior learning. Leaders should make sure that teaching consistently builds on what children already know and understand.
To implement the new statutory RSHE programme of study across the school from September 2020
To ensure that the strategic aims of the partnership arrangement are delivered
